Guy Pearce plays a government agent convicted of a crime which he did not commit. He is offered his freedom if he can rescue the President's daughter from a prison in space which has been overtaken by its prisoners.[2]
The film was first announced on August 5, 2010. Filming began on September 7, 2010.[3] Luc Besson produced the film. Besson also co-wrote the script with James Mather and Stephen St. Leger. Leger directed the film.[4] The filming occurred in Belgrade.[5] The film will be distributed by FilmDistrict and Open Road Films. The film is expected to receive an R rating from the MPAA.
